With its farm-to-table ethos and earthy, rustic feel, Circa 1876 was the perfect venue to host Mitch and Sam’s Hunter Valley wedding. “The palette I had in mind was dark and romantic with lots of berry tones and greenery” says Sam, who instantly fell in love with the exposed beams and cozy atmosphere of the restaurant.

Local florist Oh Fleur adorned the space in hanging wreathes of jasmine and lush botanical table runners. “The venue has such a distinctive style that we just rolled with it,” says Sam.

After sharing their vows at the quaint St Patrick’s of Nulkaba, the newlyweds stole away for some portraits in the picturesque grounds of Peppers Convent with photographer Kendell Tyne. Sam, looking flawless in Pallas Couture, swapped her demure Amber Sceats headpiece and veil for a bold, jewel-toned flower crown for the reception. Gentleman’s Outfitters had Mitch and his men suited, booted and looking very dapper indeed!

After partying the night away to the sounds of Casino Evil, the wedding party didn’t have far to travel to their beds. Sam and Mitch tell us “The ability to have our family stay at the convent was essential for us, it allowed us to make the most of the whole wedding weekend.”
