Abi & Clay’s Perth City Farm Wedding
Perth City Farm always makes a picture perfect backdrop and when Abi and Clay discovered they do weddings, they booked theirs without without delay. The pair tied the knot last October in a colourful ceremony with a hybrid feel (Abi narrowed it down to urban/harvest/industrial/rustic) and James Simmons captured their vibrant day.
When it comes to the story of how they met, this couple has a classic Perth tale – it all started at Little Creatures. After a big day out at RottoFest, a slightly inebriated Clay had followed his friends to the brewery, only to set his sights upon Abi, a mutual friend he was yet to meet. They shared a pizza and according to Clay he doesn’t recall much of the night, but he does remember Abi’s smile. Cute!
The existing vibe at Perth City Farm is equal parts quaint-garden and industrial-cool, so with Stacey Clark Stylist on board, the venue couldn’t have looked better. The always epic Fox & Rabbit produced some stunning florals for the day and A Moveable Feast kept bellies full with an impressive shared feast.
If Abi and Clay could pass on some advice, it would be to go all out. “You only get married once, you don’t want to look back with any regrets,” says Abi. “Also, make sure the night is about you as a couple. It can be very easy to get immersed enjoying the night with your friends and family and suddenly realise you haven’t seen your new husband/wife for over an hour. Make sure you find each other as much as you can and soak it up as a couple!”
