In Bloom: Magnolia

Words by Tom

Bursting onto naked branches at the first sign of the new season, nothing celebrates the arrival of spring with more style than a magnolia tree in full bloom. Dusky pink and wine-stained flowers ease the landscape from winter’s muted tones into the oncoming rainbow of spring.

For early spring weddings, blossoming magnolia branches make easy yet impressive sculptural displays, perfect for organically elegant tablescapes. Solo branches also serve beautifully as bridal bouquets, or can be used as an asymmetrical feature in an unstructured arrangement (such as the beauty pictured above by Bows + Arrows).

The magnolia season is short but magnificent. Be sure to make the most of it!
