Nikki & Shaun’s Alternative Tuck’s Ridge Wedding

July 28, 2015
roposing on a paddle-boat has its perils, as Shaun found out when he almost lost the ring overboard at Lake Emerald – luckily he’s got good reflexes! He and Nikki tied the knot at Tuck’s Ridge Winery, in a rustic ceremony that suited the Red Hill location to a tee. With Lucy Spartalis behind the lens, they’ve got some super sweet snaps to look back on.
With their colourful tatts and unconventional style, these two married alternative Cosmo Suits tailored a classy tux for Shaun, and Raffaele Ciuca made sure Nikki was the epitome of 1920’s vintage glam in a lace gown. With a red lip and jeweled headpiece also by Raffaele Ciuca this blondie gave the Marilyn inked on her arm a run for her money.
Shaun and Nikki chose their venue based on a few factors, and it all came down to great food and attentive staff. “It took us a while to find one that we liked and fitted in with our values.” Nikki explains, “In the end Tuck’s Ridge seemed like the perfect option and we would not change our decision for anything!”
The winery offered incredible views of inland Mornington Peninsula, providing a picture perfect backdrop for the intimate party. According to Nikki, Lucy Spartalis fit right in, “Lucy was so amazing on the day, we loved her style of photography and we love how all her photos were in the moment and not too bridal.” She says.
Lily & Lime Florist kept things fresh with lush citrus toned flowers and foliage, while Shaun and Nikki took care of everything else, including the decorations. For these darlings, DIY was the way to go and they even sent each of their guests home with a personalized and polished wooden coaster, almost too pretty to put a drink on!
