‘Halcyon’ – Richly Hued Autumnal Wedding Inspiration

After a deliciously long summer, we’re embracing the arrival of autumn and all the rich hues and textures it brings. Photographed by Bianca Virtue, this light-flooded shoot entitled ‘Halcyon’ captures the essence of this seasonal change.
Stylists and stationers, State Of Reverie, created two distinct looks to transition from the whitewashed tones of summer to autumn’s earthier hues. Natural elements like timber, rattan, terracotta and frayed silk contrast with polished concrete and white walls of new Melbourne warehouse venue, The Button Factory.
Freeform floral arrangements by Wild Flos incorporate unexpected botanics as well as fruits of the autumn harvest, such as pomegranate and pear. Mid-century inspired furniture from Dann Event Hire, paired with the muted palette of cream, beige, mustard and dusty pinks, give the shoot a subtle retro feel, whilst remaining refined and restrained.
Sun kissed with a summer glow, the bride wears two incredible gowns by Georgia Young Couture. Natural makeup and textured locks styled by St.Kristal complete her effortless bridal look.
