Shaye & Tyrone’s Rockhampton Backyard Bash
Tyrone used every trick in the book to win Shaye’s heart, even delivering flowers to her at work every week for a good couple of years! Ten years and two beautiful baby boys later his persistence has paid off big time. Their gorgeous Rockhampton wedding captured by Dani Drury was a celebration of their family, heritage and love.
This couple didn’t have to go very far to find the perfect setting, their Queensland home is set on four acres, with plenty of room to party. They exchanged vows in the orchard and set up a glasshouse marquee on for the reception. Shaye and Lucija from Vintage Hire styled the venue a little bit vintage boho and a whole lot luxe, with rich floral arrangements, bright romantic tones and glittery details. “Everything was like a dream and I think only the photos can show just how amazing it was.”
Celebrating into the night at their home, the couple crafted a meaningful gathering that honoured their relationship. Tyrone’s family performed the traditional corroboree at the reception, with their two sons joining in. “It was goose bump material and so meaningful. We are exceptionally proud of our aboriginal heritage and to have it a part of our wedding day was absolutely magical.
