Mark grew up by the beach in Dromana and popped the question on a beach in Bali so it was only natural that he and Amanda got hitched on the beach too! Taking it back to the groom’s recently revamped childhood abode these sweethearts looked right at home on the sandy shores of Dromana, and Beck Rocchi captured them in their element.
A vibrant summer cocktail theme perfectly suited Amanda and Mark’s seaside affair and they kept things simple at the ceremony, letting the ocean backdrop take centre stage. On second thoughts, it could be argued that the bride outshone even the ocean! “I’ve always wanted a backless lace long sleeve dress for my wedding day,” Amanda tells us, “so Maria (of Linea D Design) and I came up with something pretty special.” With delicate cowrie shell barefoot sandals from Balinese label Andi Bagus, and a Poppy Culture floral headpiece, this beautiful bride is the epitome of an exotic beach babe.
Mark and the boys kept to the summery vibe in beige Zara chinos and crisp white shirts, paired with bow ties, suspenders and lace-up sandals courtesy of General Pants. Our groom stood out from the pack in a sharp, blue Jack London blazer. Holding the reception at Mark’s childhood home on the Mornington Peninsula was a decision close to this couples heart, after the passing of Mark’s father Frank, four years ago, “There was absolutely no question on the location of the reception, such an incredible sentiment to Frank to have the wedding held in his home, it truly did feel like he was there on our big day.” Amanda says.
We can’t get enough of this couple’s pared-back coastal styling and perhaps it’s because we have an event manager in our midst! Amanda masterminded a simple but vibrant set up, with the help of Dann Event Hire, providers of the colourful furniture, festoon lights and see-through marquee. One look at Amanda and Mark’s light filled snaps and it’s clear that Beck Rocchi has done it again, “We loved how whimsical and natural the photos came out.” Amanda tells us, “She is seriously amazing.” We’d have to agree on the whimsy, but what stood out to us the most is just how happy these sweethearts look together – they couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces the entire day!
