Alice & Nick’s Rainy Wedding at The Boathouse
Alice and Nick’s wedding at The Boathouse Shelley Beach was not only a celebration of their love but also of their local community, and Damien Milan was on hand to capture all the sweet details.
The couple explain, “We live in Manly and absolutely love it here – the beaches are beautiful and it has a true community feel. We wanted the day to reflect who we are and the people and things we love so we centred our wedding around home and the relaxed vibe of the area.”
The beachside venue already reflected Alice and Nick’s style and required minimal decoration. White House Flowers created some beautiful hanging wreaths and pineapples on the tables added a tropical touch. The couple describe the florals as, “beyond all of our wildest flower dreams.”
The decision to forego a traditional bridal party and instead get ready with their best mates meant that Alice and Nick had more time alone as well as with their loved ones. “Between the ceremony and reception, we had photos on our own which really gave us the opportunity to connect with each other and made time slow down. It also meant we needed less time for photos and were able to join the reception sooner,” they share.
