Set in the light-filled space of an ex gold stamping factory in Melbourne, Hanna and Matt’s intimate warehouse wedding was a relaxed and intimate affair. Kyra Boyer was behind the lens, with a natural and candid style perfectly matched to this smitten couple.

The ceremony was held in the lofty event space of The Cowork Collective in Brunswick East. Going for a cosy and comfortable vibe, Hanna and Matt stood on a Turkish rug with foliage hung all around. Guests were seated on brown bentwood chairs from Harts Party Hire which gave the venue a gorgeous 70s feel, with plenty of lush greenery suspended from the ceiling contrasting against the bright white backdrop. Keeping things local, the reception was close by at Pope Joan, where guests tucked into fresh and seasonal sharing plates.

With a bohemian theme for the day, the right blooms were going to be key. Kim of Make It Beautiful worked her wonders, creating enchanting and whimsical arrangements. “Best florist by far. I loved all the natives and the amazing foliage Kim made for the ceremony, and I was head over heels in love with the “wild and free” bouquet that I asked for. She really listened to exactly what we were after and came through with the goods.”

In what can often be a rare occurrence, Hanna and Matt stuck to their guns and kept the cost of the day to plan. “We had a budget we really couldn’t go over so we had no choice but to stick to it. I think in the wedding world it’s so easy to get carried away with things so having a strict budget that we had to stick to was actually really great. It really made us think about what exactly we wanted in a wedding and ways to try and achieve that within our budget.”
