As avid campers, a wedding in the Great Outdoors was a must for Annie and Ben. The couple recently tied the knot at Byron View Farm, with a picture-perfect backdrop of the hinterland’s rolling hills.

The spectacular location provided all the styling inspiration they needed. Annie tells me “We wanted to keep things fairly simple so that we could enjoy our beautiful surroundings”. Decorative details were kept to raw materials, in keeping with the natural landscape. With the help of friends and family, the couple embarked on a range of DIY projects, all expertly brought together by Gold Coast stylists, Sunshine & Confetti.

Not one to be confined by corsets and tight silhouettes, the free spirited bride opted for a gorgeously flowing gown by Grace Loves Lace, which she paired with her favourite tan sandals. With loose curls and a flawless, natural complexion, Annie’s effortlessly beautiful look was completed with white rose flower crown and uniquely foliage-heavy bouquet by Flower Lovers.

The marquee reception was a relaxed but abundant affair. Eat Drink Catering supplied platter upon platter of rustic country food, which was a major hit with all. “Amazing, Amazing food’” recalls Annie. “We had so many compliments on the variety and flavours! The staff were first class too, not once did we have an empty glass of wine!”

Emma Holcroft of Giddy Up was there to capture the day and seemingly had as much fun as the bride and groom! “We had an amazing time,” she says, “hiking around fields, hills and foresty bits for photos, and were rewarded with the most magical afternoon light! Annie and Ben were in their element, and so was I!”
