Jeremy & India’s Colourful Flower-Filled Wedding
Laidback vibes and a shared love of travel underpinned Jeremy and India’s nontraditional wedding. The pair said their forevers looking out at the incredible view from Mount Macedon, before celebrating with a vibrant, flower-laden backyard bash.
With Wolfie, her baby boy, in her arms, India got ready to walk down the aisle, only to duck and hide from view as Jeremy arrived late and nearly spotted his bride. “Classic Jeremy!” India tells us, also sharing that her groom lost his vows just before the ceremony. “He had to improvise on the spot! They were very heartfelt though, and made the moment even more special.”
Ame of Raven & the Rose happens to be Jeremy’s sister, and was tasked with styling and planning the reception. In her element with the colourful theme, Ame adorned the backyard marquee with installations of vibrant flowers, painted palms and garlands of carnations. An eclectic mix of vintage furniture from Good Day Rentals added another level of rich hues, pattern and texture to the scene.
“We didn’t want a traditional wedding,” says India. “We just wanted it to be fun, colourful and laid back. We asked all our guests to wear colour and our theme was inspired by Bollywood elements in a relaxed vibe.” Stevie Lee Fisher captured the fun and colourful affair.
