Sophia & Trent’s Destination Wedding in Tuscany
Rolling hills, a traditional castle and an incredibly stylish bride and groom – Brooke Adams captured Sophia and Trent’s charming destination nuptials as the pair channeled la dolce vita under the Tuscan sun.
Having previously spent some time in Italy during a Euro trip, this Brisbane pair knew there was no place they’d rather tie the knot than the Tuscan village of Siena. Over 40 of their family and friends made the journey from Australia and Sophia made the most of their international guests, “I was a little paranoid that I wouldn’t be able to find everything I wanted for the ceremony and reception in the small town of Siena,” she laughs, “so I had all the guests bring over a few items each in their luggage which became a bit of a joke throughout the trip!”
These sweethearts swapped vows in a shaded clearing between two ancient trees before shifting to the courtyard where tables were arranged around a gorgeous old well. “I wanted the reception to be fun and full of food, laughter, wine and music!” Sophia shares.
A five course menu (catering courtesy of Self Party Group) ensured no one went hungry and the pair couldn’t have been happier with the spread. “There’s this amazing catering company in Siena who make traditional Tuscan food, iconic to the area. They cooked a wild boar for main course and then hand carved it at the guests requests.” Buon appetito!
