I love shooting weddings as it’s all about celebrating love and genuine emotions.
After years of studying photography and fine art abroad I returned to Australia to put all my inspiration into practice. The variety of photographic genres that I work with come together to form my own unique style that could be seen as a mix of fine art, fashion and photojournalism.
I often hear my couples say that the photoshoot was their favourite part of the day as I like to keep the experience casual and candid, allowing room for fun and creativity while exploring amazing locations. It’s about capturing the feel of your day as opposed to just purely documenting it, all the while ensuring I capture you in the best light. I like to think of everyone I work with as friends as we will spend an important part of your day together.
I learnt photography back when it was all analogue, often laboring all day/s over one image in the darkroom, giving me a respect for all aspects of the medium and process. While I like to keep my eye on industry trends, I believe more in creativity and originality, as these are timeless. With a strong focus on nature and my fine art background, I often find myself on the quirkier side of the industry, a place I am happy to reside.
