Capture the Moment Photography

Hello! I’m Carissa of Capture The Moment Photography in Central Queensland, awarded ABIA’s Qld Wedding Photographer of 2016!

I am a lover of perfectly imperfect love and a chaser of light and yummy sun-flare. If I see something epic I will stop you in your tracks to get it. I like to sit back and document the real moments, take the ‘fly on the wall’ approach to capture those fleeting moments that might not have even noticed.

I like to keep things relaxed when taking wedding portraits. I find swapping your heels for flats and grabbing an esky of beer and plenty of food keeps everyone happy!

5 Words on your style/approach

Soulful, organic, natural, timeless, evocative.

A little on your process

I always meet with my clients in person or via Skype before signing on the dotted line. I’m all about communication and connection. I love to learn about your love story and the visions you have for the big day.

I present the couples with a gorgeous welcome kit. Apart from talking about all things wedding (vendors, locations etc) we touch on the action plan for your day. The timeline is presented based on the sunset time for your wedding date, so you’ll know optimum time to have the ceremony and to get the best light for portraits.

Areas of service and travel policy

I’m based in the beautiful Central QLD, Rockhampton. However, I travel Australia wide and worldwide and will be heading to Canada this Christmas (2017).
