My passion is documenting awesome weddings in an authentic, creative way with uncontrived images. A wedding day provides the perfect setting to tell the story of a different group of human beings every week – the fun, laughter and craziness, contrasted with the quiet, intimate, unguarded moments. I ask that couples let me in to their day as a friend and allow me to document their connection in a sympathetic and honest way.
I take influence from the great documentary and street photographers of the 20th century. In my work I’m not just searching for an epic portrait or moment, but for images that have that inescapable, timeless ‘something.’ A mood, sense of movement, atmosphere or connection. Essentially, my favourite images are often the ones that don’t scream ‘wedding photography’ so if that’s what you’re looking for then I might just be your guy.

A little on your process
I aim to tell your story by searching for the small threads at the edge of the main narrative, pulling on those and seeing where they lead. Most of all I aim to create imagery not only showing how the day looked, but much more importantly, how it felt. This intentional approach guides my process across the whole day, meaning that I hang back allowing moments to unfold naturally guided by the personalities and emotions of your day while I search for unique and interesting light that encapsulates the mood.
Areas of service and travel policy
I call Edgecliff in the eastern suburbs of Sydney home, though I regularly shoot out of state and overseas. Shooting in new locations really lights the fire of creativity and energises me, so I keep travel fees to a minimum wherever possible. If my work is something you connect with then please get in touch and I can provide a custom quote.
