Put on your best floral pinny and pour yourself a cuppa, it’s time for a little domestic bliss! Lovebirds, Natalie and Adam, wanted an engagement shoot that celebrated the simple, intimate moments shared in day-to-day life. Together with their lovely photographer, Lauren Campbell, and stylists, Folklore & Co, they channelled a little Don and Betty Draper and created this sweet 50’s-inspired shoot.
The outdoor shoot is a retro reenactment of scenes from ‘a day in the life’ of Natalie and Adam, from breakfast in bed, to baking and housework and finishing with the evening martini. Natalie tells me “We especially loved the bed scene – we wanted to recreate parts of our relationship; the book and the cup of tea in bed is so us! We also treasured dancing in the ‘living room’ while the sun went down – even though there was no music and a camera was pointed at us, we felt so present in the moment and really connected. It’s a memory and feeling that will stay with us.”
