Milly & Hugo’s Tassie Farm Wedding
Milly and Hugo are no strangers to throwing a shindig. “We’re both from very hospitable families where sharing good food and wine with friends has always been important. We knew that eating and drinking would be a big part of our day!”
The couple tied the knot at Milly’s family home in Tasmania, kicking on to Hugo’s mum’s farm for some fabulous feasting. Signature cocktails were served from a specially converted vintage caravan and Hobart caterers, Smolt dished up tasty share plates of incredible local produce.
Stylist, Bek Burrows pulled together the couple’s vision flawlessly. “Bek knew exactly the aesthetic we wanted to create and having her on board meant that we could relax and celebrate with our friends and family in the lead up to the day.”
Milly and Hugo had a unique arrangement with their photographer, Shantanu Starick, who captured their wedding as part of his project, The Pixel Trade. “Shantanu travels the world trading his photographic work for food, accommodation and a ticket to his next trade with no exchange of money,” Milly explains. “Staying with us for four days, he documented the hive of activity in the lead up, our fabulous day and the post wedding recovery party.” What a wonderful record of the whole event and how better to get to know your camera man before the big day!
