Veronica and Russell’s Faversham House Wedding
Family, food and laughs were top of the list for Veronica and Russell’s big day. Their traditional chapel wedding was followed by a relaxed outdoor reception in the grounds of York’s historic Faversham House. The theme was rustic garden party and was beautifully styled by Flights of Fancy by Kristy with an abundance of vintage wares from Pretty Willow.
Veronica had seen the dress of her dreams before Russell had even popped the question, so when the time came she knew exactly what she wanted. Unfortunately the dress was in Paris, so she worked with the talented ladies at Elvi Design to create her stunning boho gown and veil. Being a little in love with Kate Moss’s wedding (who isn’t, really?), Veronica had her bridesmaids and flower girls wearing white lace dresses with flower crowns.
As a special surprise, Veronica’s eldest sister arranged for traditional Papua New Guinean dancers to perform at the end of the ceremony. Veronica tells me “Being part Papua New Guinean, it was a very emotional touch for my family and I. I was over the moon to be able to share such a wonderful cultural aspect with our families and friends.
iZO Photography were the husband and wife team behind the camera, and Veronica tells me, “not only were they professional but it felt as though they were really interested in our story… These guys are brilliant.”

Love the pictures! A few brides that have their wedding registry with us also like to have their traditions and culture play major part on their special day.
I love cultural influences in weddings! as a wedding photographer in Adelaide, there’s not too many rural settings like this one. Fantastic photography, beautiful styling and an amazing looking couple. It looks like it was a perfect day!
