A relaxed, festival style wedding with a slight Blues and Roots feel was the perfect fit for Kelsey and Matt, and with CJ Williams behind the lens, the snaps were guaranteed to be just as magical. The pair tied the knot at Balingup’s haven-like Jalbrook Estate and they tell us they cherished every moment, urging others do the same, “Try to slow down on the day! It will go so quickly, so take some time to just squeal and squeeze each others hands!”
It was on the way home from a venue-scouting trip that these two decided to take the scenic route and they just so happened to stumble across Jalbrook Estate. This charming alpaca farm had just the right mix of magic and whimsy and with its onsite cottage accommodation, it ticked all the boxes for a wedding weekender.
Quite the cunning groom, Matt caught his bride off guard with a proposal during an island getaway off the coast of New Zealand. Under false pretenses, he lured Kelsey away from their chalet for a seemingly innocent hike, but unbeknownst to her, after pretending to run back for his lighter, he planted the ring! Post-hike, Kelsey spotted the ring box on the table and the ever suave Matt sealed the deal with a simple question – “Shall we get married?”
