If it weren’t for online dating, Emily and Dom may have never crossed paths and they certainly wouldn’t have found themselves tying the knot three and a half years on! Their first coffee date escalated to a night full of laughter, clumsiness and a midnight ferry ride, and their carefree spirit was perfectly captured by Brooke Adams at their Forget Me Not Farm wedding.
“Dom and I have always loved the hinterland so we new straightaway that we wanted somewhere outdoors and away from the city.” Emily says of their Byron Bay venue. The ceremony itself was set amongst the trees and the pair swapped vows beneath an arbor of branches draped with fabric and flowers by Bower Botanicals. Post-ceremony, guests took to the tipis (supplied by Byron Bay Tipi Weddings) for canapés and a buffet feast courtesy of Canadian Kitchen.
Quite the creative, Emily was keen to get her hands dirty with some DIY and their bohemian Moroccan theme allowed her to do just that. Table runners, wooden planter boxes, signage, stationary and succulents – no job was too big for this bride and groom!
