Sammy & Lachy’s Luxe Fremantle Wedding at The Raw Kitchen

What do you get when you wed a super creative graphic designer and a talented florist? A style-central wedding full of epic florals! For creative cats, Sammy and Lachy, hanging botanics, banging tunes and delish food were at the top of the priority list. The couple took advantage of The Raw Kitchen’s blank canvas to create their luxe Fremantle shindig, snapped by Alannah Liddell.

Sammy and Lachy were the first couple to tie the knot in Cottsloe’s Secret Garden. Atop a picturesque staircase surrounded by gorgeous florals by bestie Fox & Rabbit and the bride’s own business (Blooms of Eden) this short but sweet ceremony could have been out of a fairytale. Then, after some frames around Freo, it was straight into an intimate reception at The Raw Kitchen.

While the couple say their reception was a little on the cosy side, Sammy and Lachy insist nothing topped the atmosphere at The Raw Kitchen. With Anomaly DJ’s on the decks keeping everyone on the dance floor, Soul Provider kept the memorable eats and good vibes coming.

Sammy’s dress was custom made by Perth label Ae’lkemi, while she kept her accessories simple, finishing off her bridal look with a homemade veil. Her bridesmaids wore modern dresses in neutral tones from ASOS.

“Our ceremony was so special, all of our loved ones in one space watching us commit to a life together was something truly remarkable,” shares Sammy. “We were lucky enough to be the first couple to say ‘I do’ in the secret garden at the Cottesloe Civic Centre. Its beautiful garden staircase made it so picturesque. We had approx 200 people at the ceremony and wrote our own vows which was something super important to us both!”

A florist herself by trade, Sammy teamed up with work mate / best mate Fox and Rabbit to create her wedding day florals. “My best friend/maid of honour made my bouquet which was SUPER special!” She shares.

Alannah Liddell captured Sammy and Lachy’s dreamy wedding perfectly, and the couple couldn’t recommend her highly enough. “Alannah made it so easy and stress free for us. She captured so many special moments that we get to look back on all the time,” Sammy shares.

Sammy tells us “the reception at The Raw Kitchen was super intimate and squishy ( maybe too squishy) but it made the atmosphere amazing! We just wanted it to be a huge celebration full of joy, dancing, love, and some bangin tunes.”
