Mt Duneed Estate proved to be the perfect spot for Jane and Liam’s weekend-long wedding, being just far enough from Melbourne to justify an overnight stay. The couple said their forevers in the estate’s olive grove, with the legendary Eric Ronald behind the lens.

For their reception, Liam and Jane were free to add their own stamp to the estate’s impressive barrel hall. Jane shares, “Inspiration was moody jewel tones from the very beginning. After choosing Mt Duneed as the venue, we decided to incorporate the industrial vibes too as they have a great barrel hall with metal grape chutes, high steel beams and concrete floor.” To bring their vision to life, the pair approached Jessica Alderton Events who styled the space with rich colours and reo wire, contrasted with an abundance of blooms in burgundy and blush for a luxe, romantic feel.

Jane’s words of wisdom to other couples is to not underestimate the power of professional help. “Have experienced people help you! We managed to enjoy every second of our day as we had so many great vendors and suppliers working behind the scenes. We were able to focus on ourselves and our day.”

Jane is a graphic designer by trade, so designed her invitations herself. “I work for a design and print company so had access to amazing paper stocks and printers. I created a folded-out piece that held the different cards within to reflect my passion for all things design and print!”

Jane wore an off the shoulder Galia Lahav dress that she arranged through Eternal Bridal in Melbourne. “It was an amazing experience with champagne every fitting, and the dress was so beautiful.” She wore burgundy velveteen shoes from Novo which were comfortable enough for dancing the night away.

Jane and Liam's ceremony was a relaxed affair, led by celebrant Bobby Henry. "We didn’t want the typical daggy (no offense) celebrant, we wanted someone low-key who wanted to respectfully oversee our wedding and he was perfect.

Jessica Alderton Events was the talent behind the styling of the day. “She went above and beyond and it was so much more and better than I had imagined. She custom made the concrete candle holders, had candles dyed to the perfect colour and just did everything to the finest detail.”

Liam wore a classic, custom made three piece suit with a vintage edge, sourced from Institchu. His brown buttons and brown brogues were decided from the start, and helped to build the whole look.

Liam and Jane were understandably chuffed with the extraordinary lensman Eric Ronald, who captured these warm and heartfelt snaps.  “Genius. Easy going and fun on the day, and amazing photos we would be proud to hang on the wall.”

Hi,

What a beautiful wedding! I’d really like to know which design/print company the bride works for, those invitations are perfection, and exactly what I’ve been looking for.

Thank you,
Caris

Stay in the loop!
