Georgia Young’s SS/16 collection, Gravity, is inspired by the idea that ‘the things we don’t notice, often have the greatest effect.’ It is for this reason that the Melbourne-based designer has explored a kind of effortless simplicity, a fusion of natural fibres and clean lines that evoke elegance within simplicity.

Shot by Jessica Apap and styled by Creating Beautiful, the recent campaign is an exploration in structured layering, strategic cut-outs and a mix of textures. The collection features lace, mesh and grecian-style draping – polar opposites that Georgia Young combines to form a cohesive lineup of wedding gowns.

Paired with a bronze smokey-eye and wispy locks (by Mae Taylor), this is a collection for the modern bride – an ode to tradition, translated into a contemporary, effortless interpretation of glamour.
