A designer and a musician, Sara met Cam when he offered to produce the soundtrack to her fashion show, and tells me “we’ve been inseparable ever since!” The well-connected pair had no shortage of talented industry pals happy to get in on the action of their Grounds of Alexandria wedding, including good friend Trish of Tealily Photography.
Sara’s bridesmaid designed her wedding dress; a spotted French lace number with a plunging neckline and flowing skirt. “I’m not a dress girl in day-to-day life but this was perfect for me,” says the bride. “I wore an old pair of gold wedges by Scanlan & Theodore, comfort was key!”
The bridesmaids in turn wore spotted asymmetrical skirts from the Sara Phillips Collection, while her handsome groom continued the polka theme in his Paul Smith jacket with spotted lapel and a spotted bow tie to match.
Florals by Silva decorated the space with simple, timeless babies breath to echo the bridal party’s subtle spots. Combining good food and wine in a casual yet stylish setting, The Grounds was an easy choice for the pair, who wanted a relaxed but indulgent affair for their 75 guests.
