Gwendolynne White Collection

Gwendolynne, for everyone! For the first time since moving to couture, the much-desired designer has created a line that caters to the thrifty, impatient and geographically challenged. Can we get an amen?

“I receive so many wonderful compliments from brides about how much they love my gowns, but sometimes they are disappointed because they either haven’t got the lead time to have a made-to-measure gown crafted, are unable to travel for fittings or don’t have the budget for a high-end couture piece,” say the lady herself. “With this in mind I wanted to design beautiful, classic Gwendolynne gowns by streamlining and adjusting elements without compromising on design.”

The result? Gorgeous frocks ranging from $2,750 – $3,995 with a flexible timeline that can be ordered online and shipped internationally. And she hasn’t cut corners – each boasts her signature style by way of intricate Guipure and French lace with luxurious silks, satins and soft tulles. Better still, various bodices and skirts are interchangeable (all the better for personalising) and there are no fiddly buttons to contend with.

The White Collection is just that – fresh, playful and perfectly simple. It will be available from the Gwendolynne Salon at 71 Kerr Street Fitzroy and from Mid November 2014. Estimated delivery time is 6 weeks + shipping.
