Long before Dallas and Deborah met, their mates knew they’d be a match made in heaven, but the ‘Debbie Does Dallas’ connotations made for an awkward introduction! Despite the unfortunate name pairing, these two hit it off and got hitched in Townsville’s picturesque Queens Gardens. The day took on a lush botanic feel, and the pair swapped vows ‘neath the shade of a sprawling rain tree with their gorg little gal Indi in tow.

When it comes to capturing special moments, Sweet Mary Photography has always been a go-to for Dallas and Deborah, so who better to capture their wedding day? “I’m not really a photo person myself but when it comes to momentous occasions, Katie has captured all of them for us. She’s from my home town of Ingham and her style of photography fits ‘us’.” Shares Deb.

Carla of Elsie & Audrey Vintage Hire was responsible for the ceremony styling, while Sarah of Dreamscene Events had a hand in pulling together the rustic look for their reception at Allure Events, with edison bulbs, ladder installations and lots of brass, greenery and tealight candles creating the vibe the couple were after.

With such a beautiful day behind them, when it comes to the Debbie and Dallas, we reckon the sequel sounds much better than the original. After all, everyone loves a happy ending – introducing ‘Debbie and Dallas Say I Do.’

"I was very lucky to have a very talented friend do my flowers for me," shares Debbie. "My bouquet consisted of David Austin roses, disbuds, thryp, gum leaves and snap dragons."

Deb found her blush Asilio dress online and fell in love with it’s unique look. “Not one wedding dress I tried on made me feel like 'me' like my dress did. It was comfortable, affordable and just the right amount of edge.”
