Kate & Daniel’s Intimate Kyneton Wedding

We love a chilled wedding, and with only 20 guests and a coffee stop on route, this little beauty was as cruisy as they come – captured in stunning snaps from Farrah Allan Photography. These cats got hitched in an intimate wedding at The Tylden Harvester – a sweet lil restaurant just out of Kyneton in the Macedon Ranges. “We wanted to create a small, personal wedding that reflected our own styles,” they say, with Kate going “a little 60s” and Daniel sporting “one of his many cardigans”.

Our bride looked very retro-chic with her cropped ‘do and knee-skimming Audrey dress from Concesa, teamed with a Review cardi. And how about those pumps? Ruby numbers from Jeffrey Campbell, perfectly paired with the blush blooms in that gorgeous Prunella bouquet. An accessory designer by trade, Kate designed Daniel’s bow tie for the occasion – the portrait photographer looking duly dapper in his Country Road cardi and Milano cap.

After choosing Kate’s engagement ring (a striking creation from Melbourne’s Janai Jewellery) the pair had joked about who’d pop the question first. Kate almost made it, but Daniel guessed her plans, sneaking in a proposal at Hobart’s MONA on their six month anniversary. “We planned to get married in October, but a month after our engagement found out we were expecting” – so a winter wedding was soon in the works. “Other than battling morning sickness, the planning was relaxed and stress free thanks to the many friends and family members who helped us pull it all together.”

Kate created goodie bags for each guest and pulled mum on board to help with the floral table pieces – cute take-homes that continued flowering over the cooler months. “We went low-key without a strong theme and focused on creating a relaxed atmosphere for our guests to enjoy themselves,” they say, taking advantage of the restaurant’s warm aesthetic and in-house piano man. “The lovely owner played a few songs to get us started on the dance floor.” One of their favourite moments was a sneaky coffee break at St Beans Provedore in Kyneton. “It definitely describes who we are as a couple,” they say, “we felt relaxed and at ease.”
