Everything about Kelly and Michael’s colourful wedding makes us smile – from the heart-lined aisle to the groomsmens’ patterned socks, the doggy tutu and Kelly’s vibrant sunflower bouquet. An eclectic mix of bohemian meets vintage charm, this sunny summer wedding took place in the gardens of Canberra’s Ivy & The Fox and photographer John Benevante captured the fun.

“We decided pretty early on that we wanted to have an intimate wedding with only close friends and family.” Kelly tells us, “We were looking for a venue with beautiful gardens and one that could transform into a night time fairy garden with a big dance floor – very important!” Ivy & The Fox was the ideal spot and post ceremony guests mingled cocktail style amongst the lawn games and lanterns.

Self-confessed foodies, a good spread was a huge deciding factor and the venue’s onsite catering certainly impressed. “There’s nothing worse than walking away from a beautiful wedding being super hungry!” says Kelly, “So delicious food was a big must in addition to the feel and look of the place.”
