A new environment was the inspiration behind Jennifer Gifford Designs’ latest collection, Arcadia, after the designer relocated to her dream space – a Milton-based loft studio with a Tuscan vibe.
Meaning ‘any real or imaginary place offering peace and simplicity’, Arcadia is about new beginnings, not only for the designer but for brides too – “These gowns become a manifestation of the love, emotion and also the spiritual meaning that your wedding day has for you.” explains Jennifer. “It’s a sacred thing and it needs to be nurtured and respected.”
The collection’s ethereal fabrics and feminine silhouettes are best paired with tousled hair and a subtle smokey eye, as demonstrated by Jennifer Carlson Hair & Makeup. Long-stemmed bouquets by Aurora Floral Studio suggest a ‘just-picked’ feel, whilst bohemian shoulder-skimming earrings by Adorne add another dimension to Arcadia’s free spirited bride.
“These beautiful gowns are a result of the move, of letting go of the fear of committing to something so big, financially and creatively.” Shares Jennifer. “I feel utterly blessed to be able to create such beautiful garments that have such an important meaning to the girls that wear them on their wedding day.”
Jennifer Gifford Designs gowns are available online and made to order.
