Rhiana & Waru’s Chic Garden Wedding
Every good story starts somewhere and for Rhiana and Waru the story started among the dumbells and squat racks. These Perth natives met at a fitness event, recognizing each other from the local gym, and as they say, the rest is history. The two said ‘I do’ in the gardens of Lamont’s Bishops House with Bayly & Moore there to capture it all.
Rhiana found her dream dress in the city where dreams are made of – New York, New York! This beauty of a bride was the epitome of understated elegance in a Yaki Ravid creation, with billowy sleeves and a deep v-back. With such a statement dress, Rhiana opted for a simple ‘do and we don’t know anyone who can pull off a ponytail so well!
It’s no secret that we’re suckers for the unconventional, so we were pretty stoked to discover that Waru had two groom’s women! We love that this gutsy groom snubbed tradition to have his best friends by his side, and he did it in style in a bespoke tan suit, tailored by Ray Clark.
Keeping things unconventional, these cuties chose to have a relaxed ceremony in the front gardens of Lamont’s Bishops House, before sneaking around the back to greet their guests in the courtyard. Tucked between glass skyscrapers, Lamont’s elegant set up was the perfect inner city sanctuary for Rhiana and Waru’s chic wedding.
With festoon lights overhead and lush blooms by Zinnia Floral Designs, we think Rhiana and Waru nailed the ‘garden party’ soiree and their no-seating-chart approach had guests mingling like they’d been friends for years – the key to a successful par-tay, we say!
