After Ben proposed to Belinda on the rooftop of The Calile Hotel, it was only fitting the two would later elope in this very same spot. Inspired by 1960s Palm Springs and the hotel’s Ada Suite, their wedding day featured peachy tones, a mix of cork, brass and matte textures and completely oozed elegance. Photographer Artography captured all the heartfelt moments and stylish fixtures.

Yellow Zimmermann Bridal Look

Stealing the show in her bright orange Zimmermann skirt and matching top, the couple tells us they actually shopped together for Bel’s outfit, with Ben picking out the winning number! Paired with gold Jimmy Choo shoes and diamond Cartier accessories, Bel fit perfectly with The Calile’s luxurious, stylish vibe. Turning tradition on its head, Ben’s teenage daughter wore white in a sweet vintage-style Aje dress tying into the groomsmen’s (Bel and Ben’s sons) linen Ralph Lauren shirts.

The Calile Hotel Ceremony

City views from the top floor of The Eminence building and catered by Jodey’s Café, Bel and Ben’s ceremony was small and intimate with only 30 guests. The most special part of their ceremony? Sharing it with their beautiful children of course – you can seriously feel the love from these Artography photos!

Planning by Simplified Weddings

Bel and Ben couldn’t speak higher of Amy and her team from Simplified weddings, who helped plan the entire day, even sourcing flowers and styling. “She was retained on very short notice (4 weeks out) yet delivered us a wedding that looked like it had been years in the making,” the couple shares. “Amy was able to pivot when she had to and use her extensive industry contacts to provide us with numerous options at every turn. If you are even remotely thinking about using a wedding planner, stop the search, contact Amy immediately.”

Standing out as one of their must-have vendors, Ben and Bel adored their photos by Artography, who they say felt more like an old friend than their Photographer on the day. “She artistically and skilfully (a description which feels woefully inadequate when you see our photos) captured the precious moments along the way and did so without us feeling like we missed any time away from our guests,” the couple shares.

Hellenika Restaurant Reception at The Calile Hotel

After the ceremony, the couple walked around the city and James Street for sunset photos before heading back to The Calile for dinner at Hellenika (also the restaurant Ben proposed to Bel in!). Picture this: evening city aesthetics, refined elegance, exotic, overseas vibes, 5-star service and terrace views.
