Gav & Caitlin’s Mango Hill Farm Wedding

When it came to their wedding, Caitlin and Gav’s guiding philosophy centred on two non-negotiables – relaxed and fun – and judging by Luke Going’s gorge frames, they nailed it. With the quaint farmhouse and blossoming jacaranda trees of Mango Hill Farm as backdrop, this laid-back affair gets our tick of approval.
According to Caitlin, Gav’s proposal was out of the blue, a plan he put into action one regular Saturday morning not long after they’d moved into their first apartment. Gav called Caitlin into the bedroom after breakfast where two empty suitcases were open on the bed, “He told me that I had 45mins to pack before an Uber arrived to take us to the airport!” The pair ended up in Melbourne and gondola ride down the Yarra and a couple of champagnes later, Gav popped the question!
Having attended another family member’s wedding at Mango Hill Farm, the pair knew it was exactly what they were looking for in a wedding venue. A warm evening made for a perfect outdoor feast under the stars (courtesy of Safe Hands Catering) and one of our fave things about this particular wedding is the ‘make your own pavlova’ station Caitlin and Gav decided upon instead of a cake. Genius!
