Stacey & Mark’s Mango Hill Farm Wedding

High school sweethearts, Stacey and Mark, recently tied the knot at the picturesque Mango Hill Farm in Peachester. Rustic elegance was the theme for their wedding and together with Stacey’s talented sister, the couple sourced and created the majority of the day’s beautiful decorations and details.

Stacey wore an ethereal mesh-backed gown by Brisbane designer, George Wu. In fitting with the rustic garden party theme, she paired this with a stunning Twig & Blossom bridal crown and wore her hair in vintage-inspired loose waves. The bridesmaids chose their own dresses in a peach and pastel palette, while Mark and his groomsmen wore navy Simon Carter suits with tan leather shoes and blets for a touch of vintage charm.

With hay bail pews and a lace-curtain backdrop, the wedding took place on the creek lawn, surrounded by towering eucalypts. Celebrant, Angie Porter, added a beautiful touch by requesting separately written versions of their love story from both Stacey and Mark, which she then shared during the ceremony. Stacey tells me “It was the first time we had heard our story from each other. It was a lovely touch to the ceremony, with many laughs and tears.”

Stacey and Mark wanted their banquet-style reception to be an ‘Italian feast’ and it was catered by Noosa Catering, with high praise indeed. The feast was held under a canopy of festoon lighting beneath a flowering jacaranda tree, with tables decorated with handmade details and vintage finds.

Luke Going was there to capture the day in all its stunning detail. The camera-shy couple were rapt with the results and tell me “We normally shy away from the camera, so to have someone who made the process enjoyable was exactly what we needed. We fell in love with our photos and there were so many amazing shots. We didn’t even know Luke was there half the time!”
