Sarah & Elliot’s Manly Beach Wedding

Sarah and Elliot recently tied the knot in a secluded garden with spectacular views over Freshwater Beach in Manly. The ceremony was loosely themed around ‘relaxed summer vintage’ and was styled with a simple timber arbour and elegant white bunting. The warm February day had guests sipping champagne piccolos and boutique brews while waiting for the day’s events to kick off.

Sarah was lucky enough to have one of ‘those moments’ when shopping for her wedding dress. She discovered Collette Dinnigan’s Rococo dress in the bridal section at David Jones and instantly fell in love; she didn’t even bother trying on another dress!

The lovely bride walked down the aisle to The Beatles’ ‘Here comes the Sun’ and an intimate, personal ceremony ensued, ending with Elliot breaking a glass in reference his Jewish heritage.

The couple chose nearby Hemingway’s for the reception and decorated the intimate venue with vintage props and posies created by Sarah and her mum. The party kicked off with cocktails in teacups (love!) and a tapas style menu. The night inevitably unfolded into some crazy dance floor action, to a playlist created with the help of song requests filled out by guests on their RSVP card. Genius! Sarah tells me the owners at Hemingway’s went above and beyond to make their night perfect.

Choosing a photographer was possibly the easiest of all decisions for Sarah and Elliot. Sarah admits she knew Tim Coulson would be the man behind the lens on her big day, even before she got engaged! She says “we love how Tim captured our relaxed day and party atmosphere. He also gave us some of the most special moments of our day, by sneaking us away from the reception for our first few quiet minutes on the beach together as husband and wife.”
