Naandi & Mike’s Garden Party Wedding in Margaret River
Describing their wedding as a mix of styles, Naandi and Mike’s day was a little bit Hamptons and a little bit Gatsby, with modern-rustic details throughout. Aimee Claire Photography came along for the gorgeous garden party affair, which played out at Mike’s family home in Margaret River.
This couple had all the right contacts to make their day spectacular – being an event manager and florist at Mable & Grace, Naandi knew exactly where to go to source what she was after. And with Mike’s wine business and his parents owning a beautiful rural property, good wine and a stunning location were in the bag.
Naandi says the decision to hold their ceremony and reception at Mike’s family home was easy. “His mother is an amazing gardener and has a huge garden. We decided on the spot we wanted to get married at based on the tree line.” The next 12 months were spent growing grass, planting trees and flowers, and building a bridge to make the area just right for the big day.
The reception was held in another part of the garden and featured an impressive grazing table, canapés and food bowls by Laundry 43. Besides good food and wine, the main focus of the reception were the grooves. Live acoustic tunes followed by a DJ set had the bride on the dance floor from dinner til dawn.
The couple tell us they loved planning their day together. “We already knew we worked well together as a team, this just proved it even more. We loved the lead up and working together on the garden.”

Very rustic! Love the pastel colors of the flowers and decor. I especially love the hanging lights and the outdoor reception!
