A self confessed unlikely match, Jess and Andrew surprised all their friends when they turned out to be perfect for one another. The couple planned their wedding to be an expression of their different personalities – free-spirited yogi meets country boy – resulting in a modern, romantic vibe with a little edge. The day was beautifully captured by Nikki McCrone, at the lovingly restored, historic Euroa Butter Factory.

After lots of soul (and venue) searching, the couple decided to have their wedding in Andrew’s hometown at the gorgeous Euroa Butter Factory. Jess Shares, “It not only made sense, it felt so right. It is such a stunning venue and it was so amazing to have all of our friends and family in Euroa for a whole weekend. Andrew grew up here so it meant a lot to him and his family to have the wedding in their hometown.” Jess worked alongside her business partner to style the day, adorning the space with an abundance of Rose Quartz crystals to restore trust, harmony and encourage unconditional love. Jess part owns Hart Roks crystals, so having them as part of the decor brought her personality to the styling while also sharing her passion with guests, who each got to pick a ‘love rock’ to take home with them at the end of the night.

The ceremony was held in the gardens surrounding the old factory, followed by drinks and a huge grazing table. There was a curtain that hid the garden from the reception area and when it was time, the curtain was opened to reveal the outdoor reception space, beautifully styled with blooms by Pomp and Splendour. Jess tells, “We wanted round tables so people could connect with everybody on their table and chose shared plates for food.  There were lots of yummy vegan and vegetarian options, which was really important to us.”

Simon Phillips and his band provided music throughout the whole event, with Simon playing solo for the guest welcome and then through the garden cocktail hour. The bride shares, “The band joined him as we were walking into the reception area, played the perfect laid back beats throughout dinner and then had the dance floor pumping all night long!”
