Celebrations of soft pastels, clean whites and hip signage were the foundations of this feminine and fun shoot at Bramblewood Farm in the Tweed Valley. With spectacular ocean views from Surfers Paradise to Coolangatta, Bramblewood shows off the best of the region. The concept was dreamed up by Brooke from The Petal Prop Co who specialises in delivering picture-perfect styling and hire to events across Byron Bay and South Brisbane. Photographer Camilla Kirk captured the magic produced by a talented team of vendors who brought all the party vibes.

“With the current climate, we wanted to create a feminine, modern and interactive shoot that would inspire couples looking to opt for a fun cocktail party style celebration,” explains Brooke. “We were inspired by a soft colour palette of pinks, peaches and nudes but didn’t want a traditional romantic style so went for depth and shape with the addition of balloons, a layered ceremony backdrop and of course, fun vendors. Our ‘Opera House’ backdrop was made and designed in house however it had never been used as a ceremony backdrop therefore it was decided we would create and style a wedding with this backdrop and colour palette in mind.”

“A collection of florals were used throughout the shoot, with a focus on dried ferns, tinted greenery and Lunaria (seen on the arbour). The Flowers by Ola bouquet were a mixture of both fresh and dried blooms that added texture and complimented the floral sleeved dress which was created by Kelly Cooper Couture, a fashion forward fashion designer with a focus on fabric, style and the perfect fit,” shares Brooke. The bridal look (modelled by Kirsty Mann) was finished with pink, ethically sourced jewels by Love Lara and flawless hair and make-up by The Makeup Hut.

To turn up the fun, Insta Kombi’s costal-hued caravan decorated with pink balloons brought the coolest photobooth service rolling around town, while Silver Belle’s catering served pink drinks and rainbows of produce from their restored 1953 aluminium caravan turned bar, enhanced by pink lights from Light Up Letters. As if this shoot wasn’t already Insta-worthy enough!
