Amara & Ruben’s Tropical Luxe Wedding at Arnalaya Beach House in Bali

After meeting in Melbourne, getting engaged in Colombia and moving to Singapore; it makes perfect sense that these globetrotters tied the knot in yet another corner of the world. Captured by Jess Nicholls, Amara and Ruben’s fun and intimate destination wedding in Canggu, Bali was the perfect excuse to spend a week partying and catching up with loved ones.
The couple chose the stunning Arnalaya Beach House for it’s luxe tropical setting and minimalist design, which they used as inspiration for the styling of the day. Planner and stylist, Emma of Long Table Events, set the party scene with pops of fuchsia, sleek modern elements and palm prints.
After officially tying the knot a few months earlier as part of their Hindu wedding, the Bali chapter was strictly for fun. Amara and Ruben walked down the aisle together and their good mate wore the hat of celebrant. The pair recited their own vows and danced back down the aisle to Ja Rule’s ‘Livin’ it up’.
The rest of the celebration took place on the lawn overlooking the sea. The couple planned the itinerary to maximize time with their friends and family. Amara shares, “We had most of our photos before the ceremony and just a few done later at sunset. This meant we got to spend almost all of the cocktail hour with our guests which we loved. We would have had the worst FOMO missing out on our own wedding!”
