Courtney & Toby’s Newcastle Museum Wedding
Friends since age 12, neither Courtney nor Toby imagined they’d be anyone’s high-school sweetheart, but fate had other plans and the pair tied the knot in August at the Newcastle Museum. A winter bohemian theme orchestrated by The Wedding Designer created the chilled out vibe they were after and Barefoot & Bearded’s moody frames ensured the pair have plenty of memories of the day.
Toby’s proposal was nothing short of epic. With a pilot for a dad, he organised a coastal joy ride under the guise of it being the first flight for the couple’s two year old son, but unbeknownst to Courtney, Toby had a friend write MARRY ME on the sand. “As we were heading south along the coast we reduced altitude so that the writing would be clearly visible and as Courtney was looking out the window I said, “That is for you.” Aw shucks!
Preferring to take a back seat when it came to styling, Toby and Courtney let The Wedding Designers do the honours, opting for their Lucky Dip styling package. “Our reception was held at the Newcastle Museum in the Link Gallery which is where they have blended the space between two heritage buildings with more modern architecture,” explains Courtney. “The styling was all planned and executed by The Wedding Designers which meant that we had minimal influence over the more minute details of the styling.” All these babes had to do was provide a loose creative brief and let the professionals do the rest.
