“Neither of us proposed, we chatted about eloping and thought why not?!” Laura and Adam had a simple, clear vision for their wedding – intimate, personal and taking in Sydney’s best, which of course meant being by the water. They tied the knot before a handful of their nearest and dearest, on the deck of the stunning Snapper Lodge.
Initially, the pair had planned for their small crew of vendors to be the only people present on the day, but some last minute pangs of guilt saw the inclusion of a few close family members. They celebrated post-ceremony with a light lunch of champagne and treats from Bourke Street Bakery and The Cupcake Co.
The newlyweds did get their alone time however, with Sydney lenswoman Lara Hotz weaving her usual magic and snapping some sweet portraits around the pier. A surprise dinner for two at Whale Beach’s spectacular Jonah’s Restaurant was the perfect end to Laura and Adam’s day of days.
Thinking of eloping? Laura has a few words of wisdom. “No matter how small or big the wedding is, if you always remember the real meaning behind the wedding, it will be perfect!”
