Inspired by the transformation, Perth bridal label Elvi Design’s latest bespoke collection ‘Emergence’ channels a theme of metamorphosis.
“Every week we meet with brides and it became apparent to me that women are looking for ways to change their look throughout their wedding day.” Says Sandra Searle, the designer behind the boutique label. “They are looking for gowns with detail and a touch of drama for their ceremony, before changing into something less formal for their reception.”
With this desire in mind, Sandra set out to design a carefully considered collection featuring luxe silk, soft tulle and French and beaded lace. Layers can be removed and other components added to create a variety of versatile looks. The made-to-measure range showcases a mix of structured and fitted versus floaty silhouettes, ensuring there’s something to suit every body shape and style.
When it came to orchestrating the campaign shoot, Elvi Design teamed up with some of Perth’s finest creatives – Loren of Nectarine Photography and Pretty Parlour’s Brooke Parker – and headed to the recently restored Guildford Hotel. With exposed bricks and timber floors, the historic site made a beautifully moody backdrop for this intimate shoot.
