Nick & Catherine’s Posh Picnic Wedding
Born and bred Brits Nick and Catherine have made their home in Sydney and wanted to celebrate the best of both worlds when it came to their wedding. An intimate ceremony on a yacht in the harbour gave Sydney’s summer an opportunity to shine, while a posh English picnic at The Superintendent’s Residence in Centennial Park kept their pals from across the pond feeling right at home.
With The Robertsons behind the lens, these two lovebirds pulled off the perfect laid back wedding day, from the Pimms picnic on gingham rugs, right down to Catherine’s tea-length Vivienne Westwood dress. The couple’s good friend, Vicki Uriate of Urban Cooking Collective brought a taste of England to the day with freshly baked scones, quiches and cucumber sandwiches, while lawn games and the Vintage Patina photobooth kept both the kids and adults happy.
London Cab Weddings provided transport for the day and aside from perfectly fitting in with their theme, Nick and Catherine’s cab helped them make a stylish getaway at the end of the night! There’s no doubt that this wedding was totally original and if the couple could hand out one slice of advice it’d be this: “Don’t settle for an identikit wedding. Really think about what will suit you best as a couple and go for it! There are so many amazing vendors with endless amounts of energy and imagination out there who can create a really unique and special day just for you.”
