Ash & Luke’s Yarra Valley Wedding at The Riverstone Estate

From first glance at the vineyard views at The Riverstone Estate, Luke and Ash knew their venue was sorted. Captured by the talented Elk & Willow Photography, the Yarra Valley wedding was stylish yet simple, with a laid-back vibe and a seriously scenic backdrop.

Luke proposed to Ash atop the epic Humphrey’s Peak in Arizona, after the hike to a dizzying 12,600ft. “It was such a surprise and safe to say we were both so excited that the hike back down felt like a breeze!”

Their ceremony at The Riverstone Estate looked out over the rolling hills of the Yarra Valley. “We were so happy that we were able to hold the ceremony outside (though a little cold!) and have the beautiful view behind us.” Jade Acoustic Duo went above and beyond the day, providing music to accompany the celebration. “They played during the ceremony and first part of the reception. They were so beautiful and they learned two songs for us for the aisle and first dance, which they did so well.”

When it came to wedding day budgeting, these two kept it super simple. “We decided to concentrate on things like the dresses and suits for our bridal party, and a bar tab in between the ceremony and reception and not worry so much about the things that weren’t that important to us.” Cheers to that!

Soft waves for days! Rebecca from Bleach Salon is a friend of Ash’s, and gave the bride and her tribe the natural and relaxed styles they were after. Ellen Mary was on beauty duty, “I found Ellen on Instagram and I could not have been happier with our make-up on the day!"

With her heart set on something unique yet simple for her wedding dress, Ash opted for this gorgeous lace detailed Jennifer Gifford design. “I ordered it online before even trying any other dresses on as I loved it so much.”

Celebrant Melanie Lunny came recommended to the couple from a mate. “She really helped us with the process to ensure the ceremony was exactly what we wanted.”

Ash's bridesmaids found their dresses at Pilgrim in mixed navy and blue tones. Their modern and minimalist style matched with the sharp Bossini suits worn by the boys.

Red Earth Flowers were behind the classic and elegant blooms, and those statement ceremony arrangements. “When our bouquets turned up at the hotel on the day I could not believe how beautiful they were!”

The couple chose Elk & Willow Photography for her relaxed and natural style. “Jess was such a pleasure on the day and managed to capture moments that we don’t even remember happening! She even sent us a few photos the next day which was so nice to be able to share.”
