Cassie & Josh’s Urban Adelaide Wedding at Oddio

After Cassie and Josh’s Photographer Kate Pardey suggested they use Nouba for wedding inspo, this Canberra-based couple found themselves pining over Melbourne’s trendiest warehouse venues (what can we say!). But an Adelaide wedding was non-negotiable, and Cassie and Josh successfully brought the trendy vibes to Bowden, hosting the first ever wedding at Oddio.

But first, Cassie and Josh chose Beaumont House to host their garden ceremony in front of 95 guests. Not only were the grounds the perfect setting for those dreamy floral pillars by Sam Burnell, but Beaumont House allowed the couple to serve their guests to a sneaky G&T from Speakeasy’s Miami Caravan before their fun and personal ceremony begun. Decked out in a Prea James Bridal two piece, a custom Ashlee Lauren crown and an equally dreamy bouquet, Cassie wed Josh in a ceremony officiated by Canberra colleague and celebrant Louise McDonough. Then, it was off to Oddio!

Meaning ‘Oh God’ in Italian, Oddio was the perfect urban venue to blend Josh’s Italian side and the couple’s modern taste to create a trendy warehouse full of little (pink) touches. Sam Burnell’s epic florals were the star of the show, fusing flawlessly with neon signs from Neon Collective. Sunny’s Pizza provided pizza and salad until every belly was full, and a St Louis Ice Cream truck was the icing on the absent cake!

But the one vendor Cassie and Josh couldn’t stop raving about was their stylist, Brooke, from The Beautiful Life. ‘Our stylist by far worked the hardest for us and her support, knowledge and industry intel (and discount) paid for itself in spades’, Cassie said. ‘Brooke let me be very hands on with every aspect but pulled everything together seamlessly’.

Cassie looked gorgeous in the Cara gown by Prea James Bridal, while her bridesmaids wore a dress and jumpsuit combo in matching lilac print by Mister Zimi. Myst Hair and Beauty had the tribe wedding-ready with soft waves and a natural beauty look.

Styled by The Beautiful Life and flowered by Sam Burnell Floral Design, Cassie and Josh’s garden ceremony at Beaumont House was nothing short of magical “We knew we wanted to get married in a garden and the grounds at Beaumont House are just beautiful. It was the perfect setting, not too far from the city that would allows us to bring our own drinks and set up just how we wanted.” shares the bride.

Adelaide Photographer, Kate Pardey, was the perfect choice to capture Cassie and Josh’s day.”We wanted our wedding style to be unique, modern, fun and colourful,” shares Cassie. We think Kate captured that essence flawlessly!

Planning their wedding remotely, DIY was out of the question. ‘We made a rule early on that we were going to DIY exactly none of our wedding. It was really important to us to just be able to enjoy our day and not have to worry about all the little details’, Cassie said. Thanks to The Beautiful Life their big day looked epic and flowed flawlessly.
