Maša & Michael’s Minimalist Vegan Wedding
Maša and Michael are the brains behind The Minimalist Vegan blog, so their wedding was always going to reflect their values. The NSW pair managed to pull off a pretty spectacular day, whilst pertaining to their resourceful and ethical way of life and Lauren Campbell captured their super sweet affair in her usual stunning fashion.
The Crisp Galleries was everything Maša and Michael were looking for in a venue – affordable, surrounded by nature and 100% willing to embrace a self catering couple. Their ceremony was short and sweet and they sent out cyber invitations via a Squarespace website (saving the trees and going digital – we dig!), allowing their guest-list to RSVP in a simple click.
Big believers in supporting local designers and businesses, Maša’s gorgeous gown was purchased off the rack at Rachel Gilbert, and just so happened to fit like a glove! Michael paired a Politix suit jacket with some pants he already had (we told you, resourceful!) while their rings were purchased from RevolutionBA on Esty and Juela, a little local jeweller on the Mogo coast.
Being vegan food bloggers, the menu was the main event and an opportunity for Maša and Michael to demystify their diet. “This was our way to show how amazing vegan food can really be. And no, it’s not just rabbit food!” Laughs Maša. Her talented sister tackled a delicious buffet style spread, including canapes and according to feedback, guests enjoyed the food so much that some would consider converting to veganism if it meant eating that well everyday!

Thanks for this blog and the linked articles, it’s been a great help to see what’s possible.
I’m not sure if I can pull off our plan as it’s a surprise, extreme minimalist, Vegan elopement wedding in Sydney that I’m trying to plan from the UK with only 3-4 months prep time. Hmmm sounds impossible when you write it out….
