From their heirloom rings to the post-ceremony portraits at the skate bowl where they used to ride their BMX’s, Hannah and Dan’s Auckland wedding is big on both sentiment and style.

Captured by Kirsty Peta Stone, the pair tied the knot in the cute chapel-style Ponsonby Community Centre, a stone’s throw form their reception spot Ponsonby Central.  A large loft-style space, the Sapphire Room looked the part, with concrete walls and windows the length of the venue with views to the Waitakere mountains.

A romantic engagement in Epernay and a shared love of all things French inspired Hannah and Dan’s wedding theme, which they describe as “A summer wedding in our city with inspiration drawn from old English gardens and holidays on the continent.”

Vintage furniture from The Vitrine was complemented by silver candelabras the couple sourced from antique markets and simple pharmacy bottles with flowers that looked as if they’d been plucked from a French country garden.

In keeping with the French-inspired theme, French-style share platters were dished up by Eden Catering. "We both love big shared meals with friends and family," Hannah shares. "Eden did an amazing job, wine was always flowing and timings worked in well with our speeches."
