Penny & Eli’s Vintage Wedding at Old Forest School
Childhood sweethearts Penny and Eli met as blind dates at a high school dance, so it was perfectly fitting that they tied the knot not far from their New Zealand home town of Rotorua. They had their heart set on their venue from the start – “Old Forrest School was the only venue we wanted! Nothing else would compare.” Nouba vendor Courtney Horwood was on hand to capture all the wedding day bliss.
The pair enlisted The Heirloom and Rosie’s Wildflower Co to style the day. With no shortage of pretty blooms, foliage and delicate lace details, their “whimsical, vintage, bohemian” theme came together perfectly to create a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.
As they’re currently living in Australia, having a stellar cast of vendors made pulling off a wedding back home in NZ a whole lot easier for Penny and Eli. “The best advice we can provide is to stay relaxed and try to get your vendors to do most of the work, and trust their professionalism and talents. That way you’ll have less to worry about in the lead up and on the day, and you can simply relax and soak up each moment.”
