Leith & Andrew’s Warehouse Cafe Wedding

Leith and Andrew knew from the get go that Bayly & Moore would be capturing their Auckland wedding. As it turned out, the photography duo was responsible for the venue choice too.
“We decided to say our vows in a little park across the street from our apartment in Ponsonby,” Leith explains. “When we met with the awesome Bayly & Moore, they threw out the idea of having the after party at Good One next to our place. We didn’t think it could get much better than getting ready together at home, walking across the road to get married and then walking a bit further to party.”
Sadly now closed, Good One provided a relaxed café vibe and in-built yellow colour palette, from which Leith and Andrew modelled a loose theme. For two well-travelled foodies, top notch fare with high on the agenda and Jess’ Underground Kitchen didn’t disappoint. “Jess created an amazing 9 course menu of our favourite foods, from Nippon sushi boats to Captain America cheeseburgers and Nana’s smashed pav,” Leith tells us. “The food was off the charts good.”
This pair couldn’t speak more highly of the vendors and artists who helped to shape their day. “So many awesome people got involved and helped to make our crazy ideas possible. We’ve become friends with a lot of these wonderful people post-wedding, which is a bit of sweet icing on the cake.”
