A NSW wedding with a whimsical boho style, a stunning two-piece dress, lots of cocktails and a cosy candle-lit barn would best sum up Paris and Nathan’s big day. Not too different to how they first met, when Nathan filled Paris’ ice block with vodka on their way to Sound Relief Festival, this time Nathan would be aiming champagne into Paris’ mouth post wedding ceremony! Harnessing the good vibes, With Love Weddings captured the love and banter the couple share beautifully.

Seacliff House Ceremony

Wanting the same venue for both their ceremony and reception, the couple decided on Seacliff House to host their 80 guests. “We only visited one venue and that was Seacliff House,” says Paris. “We regularly travel to Gerringong for weekends away and it really is our home away from home. We both love the beach and the rolling hills and loved the idea of a getaway wedding without it being too far for our guests to travel.” The ceremony, which took place outdoors with a huge floral arbour as their backdrop (Gypsy Carmen), was both personal and fun with the couple writing their own vowels. “We wanted both of our vowels to be a surprise so I provided Nathan with the structure and our celebrant Tess Myers cross checked them to make sure they were a similar word count and tone,” remembers Paris. “We also both included a special moment or story to help us have a laugh and shake off any nerves.”

Dress by Anna Maurer Bridal Couture

Finding the perfect two-piece gown for her special day proved to be much harder than Paris thought it would be. “I started looking a few months after my engagement and absolutely hated the process!” shares Paris. “There was nothing I could find that I liked or fitted well and I even had a dress maker say I would never suit the style I dreamt of!” Luckily, after heading to local dress maker Anna Maurer Couture, things took a drastic turn. “I had an idea of what I wanted but didn’t have an exact photo so she started a rough sketch and taught me all the different types of fabrics,” explains Paris. “I was completely involved in the whole process, from the design, fabric choice and even the positioning of the beading on the bodice. I am so happy with the outcome of the dress and I definitely think it reflected me so well on the day.”

DIY Projects

We bet you’ve wondering where Paris’ epic bridal gang jackets were from! Running with inspiration off Pinterest, the girls all got together for this DIY project, which included sourcing the jackets at the Glebe Markets, getting handy with home bleach, cutting and cropping, glue gunned pearls and finally, hand sewing the letters with help from Paris’ Grandma. Not yet done with her DIY fun, Paris also made her headband with direction from Anna Maurer Couture and enlisted a friend to help make copper sign frames for the welcome sign and seating chart.

Seacliff Barn Reception

Paris tells us Seacliff’s barn was the ideal venue for their reception with the space being a blank canvas. “It was the perfect place to bring my whimsical-boho vision to life,” shares Paris. Guests were seated at 3 long wooden trestle tables and styled with a mixture of stem florals. Bronze toned candles also lined the tables, while festoon lights and a cosy fireplace combined to create a warm, intimate atmosphere. The food was a hit thanks to Garnish Creative Catering. Guests particularly swooned over the slow cooked lamb, which all went despite Paris and Nathan hoping they’d have leftovers for the following day! The night ended with lots of dancing and plenty of polaroid photos – it cant get much better than that!
