Always rather partial to a woodland wedding, we were delighted when this gorgeous shoot landed in the inbox. It’s the handiwork work of a Perth-based team of talented vendors, headed by Still Love Photography and stylist, Emma Bergmeier of Dropstitch.

Beautifully styled in a rustic-meets-retro theme, the shoot features real life couple, Alex & Patrick. Emma tells me “Our main inspiration was a desire for marriage equality in Australia. We decided to do the shoot in response to the High Court overturning same-sex marriage legislation in ACT last year. We were really saddened by this decision and wanted to create an inspiration shoot that celebrated the love of two people who aren’t able to get legally married in Australia… yet!”

While Alex & Patrick can’t yet legally wed, their commitment and love was certainly celebrated in style. Let’s hope 2014 marks the year that ALL Australian couples can celebrate their love legally and equally.
